Join us Friday night for Katsucon’s Annual Formal Ball!
Ladies, wear your finest! Gentlemen, dress sharp! We are having a grand ball where you can dance and mingle with all of Katsucon’s fine attendees. From classic waltzes to contemporary dances, everyone will be able to enjoy a night of fun and excitement!
Dance lessons will be held prior to the ball; please refer to the program schedule.
Karaoke returns again to Katsucon 18! Open Mic will take place on Friday night, so drop by to sing or just to listen to some of your fellow con-goers. Open call tryouts for Kat- sucon Idol (our karaoke competition) will be taking place during this time; simply indicate that you are interested in competing when signing up and a small panel of judges will determine whether you qualify for a spot in the contest.
You’ve seen Iron Artist. You love Super Art Fight. Now see what happens when the rule book gets thrown out. Pre- pare your eyes (and your therapists) for anything.
It’s back and better than ever! Katsucon is proud to present two hours of drama, comedy, and surrealism, all set to music. Some of your fellow attendees have poured their hearts and souls into these short video clips. Come celebrate their hard work, their vision, and their occasional insanity.
This is the most mind-blowing panel ever. Come watch some of the most amazing artists in an EPIC BATTLE OF WILLS as they attempt to DESTROY ONE ANOTHER with AWESOME. The final results of the competition will be available after the battle; proceeds go to charity.
So you want to perform in the Masquerade, but you couldn’t get your computer to work for pre-registration? Well, have no fear, because we at Katsucon are offering at-con sign- ups for the Masquerade.
You’ve watched the videos; you’ve cast your votes. Now it’s time to see who the winners of the Golden Ninjas will be.
The World Cosplay Summit is an annual international cosplay event that promotes friendly international exchange through Japanese pop culture. You likely won’t want to miss any of the WCS events.
Symphonic Anime Orchestra (SAO) is run by a team of four people who bring together the worlds of anime and classical music through large ensembles, chamber music and panels. SAO plays gripping background music, peppy opening and ending themes, videogame music and heartfelt J-rock.
SAO is made up of dedi- cated anime fans of all ages that enjoy music. If you play an instrument, you can play with us at Katsucon. Rehearsals are in the MORNINGS all three days; music is emailed in advance; and we are tak- ing suggestions of what you want to hear or play! Go to AnimeOrchestra.org to fill out an application or suggest a song!
